Performance and wholesale polo shirt manufacturer blanks

Performance polos run in poly or poly-cotton interlock for wicking — not 100% cotton pique. Wholesale blanks are unbranded or lightly branded pique for the buyer to decorate later, still on the same 300-piece style minimum as custom work.

Long-sleeve, rugby and women's polo

Long-sleeve reuses the classic block with the sleeve and cuff swapped. Rugby runs a heavier GSM, often with a contrast collar — it is not a golf polo. Women's polo uses darting and a shorter placket on a different grade; say so on the brief or buyers assume a unisex fit.

Collar, Placket, Tipping and Buttons

The collar and placket are why a polo is not a t-shirt with a neck swap. Ribbed knit collar is the volume option and recovers after wash; a woven collar sits flatter and needs a different stay. 2-button is the classic placket; 3-button is a longer, different marker — specify which on the brief, don't "add a button" after the first sample.

Contrast tipping on collar and cuff is a separate knitting or binding step. Side vents and a longer back hem are pattern decisions, not finishing touches. When a polo takes dense chest embroidery, we spec a stabilizer at sampling so the knit does not pucker around the logo.

Pique, Interlock, Jersey and GSM

180-220 GSM pique is the retail polo range; below 180 GSM the knit shows and the collar can collapse, and above 240 GSM it reads rugby, not golf.

Pique is the classic honeycomb knit — it breathes, and it's what most people mean by a polo. Interlock is smoother, heavier and drapes more like a t-shirt; some streetwear and fashion brands prefer it for a cleaner look. We send swatches of both before you lock a fabric. One note on spelling: pique and piqué refer to the same knit; we don't call it "waffle."

Private Label Polo Shirt Manufacturer Setup

Private label is the default: your neck label, care label, hangtag, packaging and embroidered chest logo, on a program built to your tech pack. OEM follows the tech pack precisely — collar type, button count, tipping, GSM. CMT, if you supply the pique, runs at a 5,000-piece minimum; a collar-and-placket setup plus a dye lot doesn't cut at 300.
