Pullover with a kangaroo pocket is the volume style and our most refined pattern. Full-zip needs a heavier-gauge zipper matched to fleece weight — a zipper too light for a 400gsm fleece will strain at the chin guard within a few washes, so we spec zipper gauge against your fabric choice before cutting. Half-zip sits between the two structurally, closer to pullover construction with a shorter zip run at the collar.

On fit, we grade oversized and boxy streetwear blocks with dropped shoulders, cropped lengths for fashion-forward lines, and standard regular fit for general retail. Sleeve length and body length are the two dimensions clients most often want to adjust from a reference garment, and both are straightforward pattern changes once we have your spec sheet.

Hoodie Fabric & Construction Options

Fabric choice drives both feel and cost. Brushed fleece (240–320gsm) is the standard choice for everyday hoodies — soft inner face, warm, moderate cost. French terry (260–340gsm) has a looped, uncut inner face — lighter, more breathable, and increasingly popular for premium streetwear. Loopback fleece sits between the two, with a slightly finer loop structure and better shape retention after washing.

Hood construction affects both fit and cost. A lined hood (fabric folded and stitched double) holds its shape better and drapes more cleanly, but adds fabric and labor cost versus a single-layer hood. Drawcords can be flat cotton tape, round cord, or ropes with metal or plastic aglets — each needs its own eyelet reinforcement, which we spec in the tech pack review before sampling.

Pocket style is a simple but visible choice: a kangaroo pocket (single pouch, both hands enter from the sides) is the classic option and slightly cheaper to construct. A split pocket (two separate compartments) costs a little more in stitching time but is preferred by some streetwear brands for its cleaner front panel line.

Decoration

Printing & Embellishment on Fleece

Embroidery is in-house and the standard for chest, sleeve, and hood-panel logos — on lighter fleece we back it with a stabilizer to stop puckering, since a bare embroidery run on thin brushed fleece will pull and distort around dense stitch areas. Screen print, DTF, and heat transfer are all available for graphic and photographic front/back designs. Screen print is the more economical choice at higher volumes with simple color counts; DTF suits smaller runs or gradient-heavy artwork. Order Types

Private Label, OEM, and Blank Wholesale

Most hoodie clients order private label — your woven neck labels, care labels, and packaging built onto our production, sourced through our label suppliers or yours if you already have one. OEM follows your tech pack exactly with no design input from us. If you're supplying your own fleece and only need cut-make-trim, that's a CMT arrangement with a 5,000-piece minimum instead of the 300-piece OEM/ODM MOQ, since sourcing and dyeing a fleece lot for one client doesn't scale below that volume.

Getting Started

Sampling, Sizing & Lead Time

A proto sample typically takes 10-14 days once we have your tech pack, and up to 10 free revision rounds are included before bulk cutting starts. Heavier fleece and lined-hood constructions tend to push toward the longer end of that window since there's more to fit-check. Full size runs are graded against your spec sheet or, if you don't have one yet, our size chart guide covering US, UK, and EU conversions. Bulk production runs 30-45 days after pre-production sample sign-off, with AQL 2.5 inspection before shipment.
